Phone Calls
If you didn't expect a call from the bank, it could be a scam. Don't provide any personal information. Just hang up and call the bank yourself.
|
Email
Watch out for emails that ask you to click a link or provide personal information.
|
|
|
Text Message
Your bank will never ask you to sign in or give personal information via text message. Banks don't ask that.

Arm yourself against Identity Theft |
Think you can outsmart scammers?
Every day, thousands of people fall for fraudulent emails, texts, and calls from scammers pretending to be a bank. Security Bank has partnered with the ABA (American Bankers Association) to test your knowledge& help keep you protected.
It's time to put scammers in their place.
Watch for these red flags. Banks would never ask for them.
If you receive an email, text, or phone call from anyone asking for any of the following information - it’s a definite red flag! It’s better to be safe than sorry. End the call, delete the text, and trash the email, because #BanksNeverAskThat !
Security Bank has partnered with the American Bankers Association to spread awareness and help you spot the scams!
*Caveat: you may be asked to verify confidential information if you call your bank, but never the other way around. If you receive an incoming call from someone claiming to be your bank, hang up, and call the number on the back of your card.
