Welcome Melanie Carson to Security Bank!

Laurel, Nebraska — Security Bank is pleased to welcome Melanie Carson to its team. Melanie joined the bank on May 20, 2026.

Melanie is new to the banking industry and looks forward to working with customers and becoming part of Security Bank’s team. She previously worked at Providence Medical Center in Wayne for 20 years as a Certified Healthcare Access Associate.

A lifelong resident of the Laurel area, Melanie graduated from Laurel-Concord High School. She began her college education at Mount Marty University in Yankton, South Dakota, where she received a softball scholarship and studied to become a radiologic technologist. She later transferred to Northeast Community College in Norfolk, earning an Associate of Applied Science degree in Administrative Assistant – Medical Field, and continued her education at Southeast Community College in Lincoln to complete her Associate of Applied Science degree as a Radiologic Technologist.

Melanie and her husband, Aaron, have two children, Talon and Jyrnee, who attend school in Laurel. She is active in the community through coaching youth sports.

In her free time, Melanie enjoys camping, gardening, following Husker sports, and spending time with her friends and family.
