As we approach year end, much like all of us at the bank, you are likely looking back on the year and thinking about the impact the various events of the year have had on your business. There is no need to list those 2020 events here because we all know the challenges they presented. While it is easy to say that everyone should just look forward to 2021 with renewed optimism, there have been several bright spots in the national and local economy in terms of recovery from the initial shock from COVID-19. As we often do near year end, we again this year are sending the latest update of Dr. Ed Seifried’s Economic Chart. When you look at trends of the past year, a lot of these bright spots show up nicely in terms of how much recovery there has been. Let’s hope we can keep this positive trend going throughout 2021!
